1948 Doubleday hardcover Book Club Edition of a novel based on the life of Mrs. Jefferson Davis. With dust jacket in fairly good condition, I found this copy some months ago in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library.

Edit July 19, 2019: I skimmed it. I currently have this ranked at #1066 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
