Swashbuckler – that may be the best term to describe this one; filled with suspense, intrigue, and the game of thrones. But let’s not neglect the great historical underpinnings. In the late 15th century, England is in trouble. She has a King, but he is very young. And then, into this uncertainty arrives the rumor that one of the little Princes, supposedly killed in the Tower of London by Richard III, still lives and is returning to England to claim his throne. This is an excellent entry into that genre we call historical fiction, cast in the same mold is those written by Patrick O’Brien and Dorothy Dunnett. You will enjoy this one.
