This is a lovely book. I read it after finishing a bunch of very serious and dark books, and it was just what I needed.
This is a book of charming vignettes by Bailey White, who sometimes reads them on NPR. The characters, from Bailey's mother to their family and neighbors to Bailey herself, are warm and friendly--the kind of people you'd like to sit on the porch with.
