From the cover:
"When a meteor hits the moon and knocks it closer in orbit to the earth, nothing will ever be the same. Worldwide tidal waves. Earthquakes. Volcanic eruptions. And that's just the beginning."

A good "end of the world as we know it" story as seen through a 16 year-old's eyes. You have to feel the family's distress over the decisions they are constantly faced with.
Sending off to a fellow Bookcrosser - enjoy!

Thanks very much for sending this wandering-B, I really appreciate it.
And thanks for the lovely postcard too. :-)

An easy and enjoyable read, and the author did a very convincing job of being inside a 16 year old's head. The premise was good, and once you accept the original event all else was more or less believable. The slow ride downhill made for good character development. I thought there were a couple of places where a 'message' was rather too obvious, but overall a great ya novel; well constructed, reasonably well written and a believable cast.

Happy belated birthday and happy reading! :-)
Found this in my letter box when we arrived back from Melbourne last night. Thanks very much for it, and your birthday wishes, crimson-tide.
I'm looking forward to reading it.

An absolutely compelling read; scarily believable. Having recently seen the movie 'Melancholia' I can happily say it was nothing like that, although I couldn't help drawing comparisons.
I also couldn't help but think that the ending was a let down. Having said that, I can't say more without introducing 'spoilers'.
