CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

oh, dear....I sent this off yesterday, came to journal the release, and find I never journalled when I read it....I am so sorry. So, I know it wasn't too terribly long ago....maybe over the holidays, when life was more than a little hectic....

I recall this as being enjoyable, but not exceptional. I was~of course~partial to the film set milieu :-)

Thanks for sharing this, eicuthbertson!

Thanks to Erishkigal for throwing in this RABCK with the selection from the VBB. I really like Charlaine Harris' books, as they are always a quick read and a good distraction from reality.

Thanks also for the lovely postcard of Saltair -- been quite a while since I was out there, but it is a lovely building and the lunch cruises are always a great day trip on the lake in the summer.

I really needed something light and quick to read because I am bogged down in several very heavy serious books at the moment. I snagged this one off the stack because Charlaine Harris is always fun and it did not disappoint. I read the first one in this series a year or so ago and enjoyed it, but I haven't read the other two, so I was a little worried about missing pieces of the storyline. Luckily this is a good stand-alone book, plus it deals with the filming of a made-for-TV movie about the killings in the first book. Very fun and the mystery was good (I figured it out before Roe, but it was still well-done).

I plan on taking this to our local meet-up on Sunday, as I know several of the other BCinDCers enjoy Charlaine Harris.

Picked up at today's BCinDC meeting. Like the various TBR shelves need any more books. :-)

Excellent book. I read some of the earlier books several years ago, and didn't know that there was more. It was easy to catch up, though. The villian is obvious if you think about it, but there are enough distractions to put him/her on the back burner, so to speak.
