This series is like vampire candy to me. I enjoy it, and sometimes feel guilty for doing so. Sookie is at times a fish out of water. In some ways, she is just a simple small town girl, a sweet young waitress in a bar. A woman who can read the minds of those around her. She lives in a world shared by humans and supernaturals alike, and supernaturals (vampires, werewolves, etc) are strangely attracted to her. In this book, the reader gets to find out why Sookie is so attractive to supernaturals. Hmm, who'da thunk it?
