I'm not usually a fan of period novels - but the characters were so rich and story so central that I hardly noticed that it was set in 1907. Loved the unexpected twists and turns! Going to send this off as a book ray.

Picked this up from Dani as we met for dinner tonight. Looks like a good one! Finishing up another book now, then will dig into this one :)
This was a quick and enjoyable read. The characters had many secrets, which led to a certain level of mystery in the story that was enjoyable, but not torturous. I admit that there were parts of the story that there seems to be no real explanation for (which I won't discuss here, so as not to spoil it!) but overall, it was an interesting tale and I was satisfied at the outcome.
Will be sending to the next in line the next time I can make it to the post office (hopefully in the next week or so!)

Just received in the mail today...I am eager to get to it, just have one other to finish up first. Thank you, daniellechonody, for starting this ray!
I'd been waiting for this one and had held off buying it a few times. Then it arrives in a stream of bookrays. It's number 3 on tbr which means it will be read within the next 2 weeks
I enjoyed this one as much for it's clever layout as for the story itself. Surprising twists in it in unusual places.

Arrived safe yesterday (but the enveloppe was a bit torn open.) Thanks.
I just finished it by a rainy day.
I liked because the characters are well put but you need to be in a good mood to read it ! ;)

Received this in today's mail! Can't wait to read it - THANKS for adding me!
Shoot - I thought I was logged in - I'm the one who just received it! :)
I just finished this book. I honestly can't say how I felt about this novel. It was interested. Not bad, not terribly good. I'm usually not much for period pieces, but since it didn't read much like one, I don't think that was it. None of the characters were ones you wanted to root for. They all had some underlying nastiness...
Are there several copies with this BCID ? Because I still have the book in my hands.
On its way to ? hahaha.
