This book is in a Controlled Release!
5 journalers for this copy...
This is the story of the rise and fall of a mythical town of Macondo through the history of the Buendia family. The writing is beautiful! I would recommend downloading the characters from Wikapedia and keeping them nearby to keep track of the characters since many of them have the same name.
And the Book Ray begins!
- Hechelle - Canada
- Shahrun - UK
- Teapot - Scotland
- TinaJean - USA
- Eblanco001 - USA
- Ciloma - USA
The usual respectful guidelines, please:
- journal the book's safe arrival, then your thoughts when you finish reading it
- PM the next person for address, so you'll be ready to mail it on
- it's a big book, but I'm thinking a month should be enough time. Once I started reading it, it moved along and really kept my interest. Let us know if you need more time.
Hope you enjoy this Book Ray!

How exciting to open the door and be handed a box with wishbooks in it from a lovely bookcrosser that I have never met. I look forward to reading these books and send them on their merry way. Thank you so very much!
This book was really interesting but it took a long time to read it. I think the problem was that the names in the family kept confusing me but the characters were lovely...especially Ursula. Thank you Valpete for the opportunity to experience this great book.

I'm not really too sure what I made of this book. It is like nothing I have ever read before. I found it a slow read as I was quite confused about where in the world the story was set and in what time too. (I like to know these things). But it doesn't really matter as this book is about people. I loved the charachters in it. The things they got up to kept me constantly amused and surprised!
I will post this off to Teapot in Scotland 1st thing on Tuesday (as it is a holiday weekend here).

Posted this off to Teapot in Scotland to continue the BookRay.
It arrived with the post this morning! Thanks Shahrun!
A good read, though not what I was expecting. I was quite confused by all the Aurelianos and Arcadios! I thought the female characters were interesting and all had distinct personalities, but the men all seemed the same. I found the ending a bit disturbing, and I'm not sure I really understand the book's message...
Will send on to the next person on the list.

Received from teapot. Thank you!
I loved this book! It didn't take any time at all to read. I've had it ready to go to Eblanco001 for a little over a week now & I keep forgetting to take it to the post office before I go to work. It will be shipping out on 8-16-10. :)
