Noticed I had two copies of this, so I thought I'd bookCross one of them. I bought this copy for $1 at the 2007 Woodsworth College (University of Toronto) booksale. I thought I should have some books in French to bookCross for bookCrossing in Québec or other francophone areas.

Left in the Pavillon de Chimie et Biochimie, 2101, avenue Jeanne-Mance, on top of a display case containing books. I enjoyed this book (and found it more subtle than L'Étranger, the other Camus I've read), although I'd like to understand his philosophy (and what he was trying to get at) a bit better before pronouncing my final judgment of it. I liked the description of Amsterdam (and the comparisons he makes), and the surprise he shows "you" (I also enjoy second-person literature) towards the end.

J'aimais ce livre (et je l'ai trouvé plus subtil que L'étranger, l'autre Camus que j'ai lu), mais je voudrais mieux comprendre sa philosophie avant de le juger. J'aimais la description d'Amsterdam (et les comparaisons que font il), et le surpris qu'il vous montre (j'aime la littérature à la deuxième personne) vers la fin.
