The Giant Book of Zombies
2 journalers for this copy...
I picked this up from a charity bookstall thinking that Uncruliar Junior No.1 might like it as he has been asking about horror books and authors recently. Unfortunately it didn't catch his interest.
I was going to release it without reading it myself but then I noticed the name Lovefcraft on the on the cover and decided to take a look. I haven't read the whole book, just a few of the stories whose authors were already known to me (Lovecraft, MR James, Poe and Clive barker). I thought at first that the 'old masters' were particularly understated, leaving a lot to the imagination. But then when I read the Cliver Barker story I also found that surprisingly ungory. I don't read much horror fiction these days so maybe my expectations were unrealsitic but certainly I recall Stephen King and Phil Rickman (earlier books) being much more scary.
