This mystery series stars Lucas Davenport, a lieutenant in the Minneapolis police department. Originally published in 1990, this is the 2nd in the series. There's at least 16 other Lucas Davenport's, all with the word "Prey" in the title.

The paperback I'm releasing is a re-issue, and has a new introduction by John Sanford, the author(psuedonym for John Camp, who won a Pulizter as a journalist). The introduction is interesting, as he discusses what he was trying to acomplish with this story.

Mystery/thrillers are divided into types, and this is a police procedural.
