Blurb:
"I hereby bet Tony Hawks the sum of One Hundred Pounds that he cannot hitch hike round the circumference of Ireland, with a fridge, within one calendar month."
A foolhardy attempt to win a drunke bet led to Tony Hawks having one of the best experiences of his life. Joined by his trusty travelling companion-cum-domestic appliance he found himslef in the midst of a remarkable, inspirational and at times, down right silly adventure.
In their month of madness Tony and his fridge surfed together, entered a bachelor festival, and one of them hat sex without the other knowing. The fridge got christened and they even met the poorest King on Earth.
As they travelled through Donegal, Sligo, Galway, Clare and beyond, the fridge became a momentary focus for the people of Ireland, growing into a personality in its own right, and bringing people together wherever it went.
Against all the odds, Round Ireland with a Fridge is one of the most inspirational stories you will ever read. Join the feraless pair as they battle on towards Dublin and a breathtaking finale that is both movin, uplifting, and a fitting conclusion to the whole ridiculous affair.
Really funny!

Maybe it was the wrong book at the wrong time. - I did not enjoy reading that much as when I read this book for the first time - even though now I had all the puns in original and had not to reconstruct them from the German translation.
Yes, the book is fun to read, there are some parts where I had to laugh out loudly, but most of the time I found it kind of boring and Tony's continouus search for a girl to have sex with kind of annoying.

The fridge will now travel to Frankfurt, to fulfill a wish.
Thank you Ina, I pulled this out of the letterbox late last night.
The book has been on my wishlist since August 2014.

As a road-trip experience this was an amusing read, but my expactations were not met. I expected something funnier, with more punch.
I'm usually quite put off when the stories focus on a guy just wanting to make out with any girl, but contrary to Ina I did not have the impression this was too dominant. I was more dismayed by the comments Tony Hawks made about some of the people that helped - or tried to - on the road. Maybe those were all supposed to be funny... And I did not get that.
However, let's see whether we can make The Fridge (represented by the book) travel a little bit further.
