3 journalers for this copy...

This is a massive book which begins with Caellum Quirk a teacher at Littleton ,Colorado conversing with a former student who goes on to become one of the Columbine killers. His wife, Maureen is then caught up in the tragedy which leaves her shell shocked and suffering Post Traumatic Stress Disorder . There are many threads to the story, a young troubled teen who adopts Maureen as her mother, financial woes have Caellum let out the upstairs rooms of his house to a couple fleeing hurricane Katrina, Caellum finds some old diaries that have links to his past about his true identity within his family etc etc...... The novel loses some focus at times on the central characters and I found flat spots where it became a bit frustrating and I put it down for a while to read other books but it is ultimately worth the effort and almost a full crown of stars. Oprah will love it.

'Massive' is definitely the word for this one, jeniwren! Look at the size of this thing!!!! Seriously... thanks for sharing it with me. Can't promise I'll get to it quickly but it certainly does look intriguing. More later.. when I'm feeling brave enough to tackle this 'door step'!

Taking to meetup - where it will either be snaffled by another bookcrosser or wild released!

This one was left on the table after our Templestowe meet-up today so I gathered it up along with a few others to take to Green Sage Cafe for release tomorrow, but ooh dear I made the mistake of reading the blurb on the back cover and am now going to plan B and will put it on the Mt TBR pile. Will get to read it one day - it is a huge book therefore somewhat daunting.

I am desperate to clear the shelves so have decided this large book must go, I will release it shortly.
