hallo! I got this book from a used bookstore for a second read (the first copy had been borrowed) and right now I'm traveling and don't have too much room for books to take with me. So, I'm buying some at used bookstores and then book-crossing them so I have more room:) this is the First Book I bought for the trip, so there is some rather interesting distinction here.

Excellent book! I love the dialogue; Eddings is very clever this way, even if some of his ideas are a bit Wacky. I'm so glad Garion is growing up in this book, he was a real whiner in the last two. And I have awaited the arrival of Relg into the story for at least a booklength--finally! he comes into this book about halfway through. This one is written more from C'Nedra's point of view and she still drives me nuts, but its a refreshing change. This story ends as they find and see for the first time, the Orb of Aldur . . . do enjoy this book! Let me know what you think of it.
