Started out terrific (and terrifically sad) but what a disappointment. I loved the first half of the book, but then it went right over the top, straining credulity at every turn. It's a shame, because the author can really write, and while Time Traveller's Wife was certainly fantastical, I completely bought the plot. Here, while I did in the beginning, ultimately it unravelled.
