I absolutely love this book! I think I must have read it about ten times. Just everything about it is perfect :-)

Such a nice surprise to come home to a parcel of books on the doorstep! Thanks very much for looking for this for me. It's really thoughtful Lucy.

Oh what a joyful book; a beautiful depiction of a friendship within a glorious setting (and much more besides.) I can well imagine why it's one to read over and over again. It's a book to bury yourself in when ill, feeling down or jaded with life.

Thank you so much for sending this to me!

My relative loved this too, she said it's one of those books you've always heard about but never read.

I'm the decoy. Thanks for this Cindress. I have vague memories of reading this as a child. Looking forward to reading this again. Adding to my MTBR.

Tom is sent to his Aunt and Uncle to stay while his brother has measles. They live in a flat with no garden. But then he hears the grandfather clock strike thirteen and suddenly his stay is not so dull.
A lovely book. No wonder I had fond memories of reading it as a child.

Well it looks as though this will be with me a bit longer. My 8 year old is reading it as his school reading book.

My son has finally finished this. He said it was ok.His favourite bits were when Tom was in the garden playing with Hatty and he particularly liked the parts where he went through doors.
