Barabbas
4 journalers for this copy...
There are those — and they are legion — who believe that their souls shall someday unravel and their intricacies and silences will finally be known by their Lord. Then there is Barabbas, the subject of this novel by Pär Lagerkvist. Barabbas, the acquitted, would like to believe in the fellow that wasn't spared crucifixion, and he has even fallen to his knees and nearly prayed, but to no avail. Lagerkvist (himself spiritually conflicted) illuminates in this bare and moving novel the life of a reluctantly faithless man. — Gin, Powells.com

Happy reading!
I got this book today together with two other books. Thank you Vasha and Totje2 for making this possible.
I finished this book in two days and was intrigued by the perspective of the story. Who ever thinks of Barabbas when you read or hear the story of Jesus´s crucifixion. If it had not been for the German books to read before I die I probably would never have come across this book. Thanks again to Vasha and Totje2. The book is now reserved for Soffita´s 1.001-VBB.
