Sing Down the Moon

An important book for anyone to read, Sing Down the Moon deals with the forced migration of Navahos in the 1860's. Although the fictional account of a 14 year-old girl may appeal most to the teen reader, Book World states that it is "beautifully written, immensely moving" and "a memorable reading experience - for any age." Years after I have read it, I certainly still agree with that claim.
