Wow! Thank you Caramae for this wishlist book, the interesting postcard and the bookmark calendar. This was sent for the "Book and Calendar" exchange rabck. You are right. I did have "A Christmas Carol" on my wishlist 3 times. All with different isbn numbers! I have removed 2 of those from my wishlist now, but I've still left one of them on there as I would love to read the unabridged version of the book too. However, this little book is great and it is actually one of those 3 that I did have on my wishlist. So it was also one that I wanted to have, and with it only having 68 pages, it's perfect for a quick read when I'm travelling, or on one of the many occasions when I'm in the middle of reading a big book and fancy a break from it with a quick read from another author. I do that often. The bookmark calendar is great too. I actually sent 12 or more of those out myself to people because I really like them,(and you were one of the people I sent them out to!!), and the "Bookworm" one was my favourite of all the designs I bought. So thank you for everything, and I wish you a good 2010.

One of the most beloved Christmas stories in English, this engrossing tale relates Ebenezer Scrooge’s ghostly journeys through Christmases past, present and future and his ultimate transformation from a harsh and grasping old miser to a charitable and compassionate human being. A perennial classic that has become as much a part of the holiday season as holly, mistletoe and evergreen wreaths..

I loved this story, (as I have loved it every time in the past that I read it since I was young). Charles Dickens was a wonderful writer. He could say so much in just a few sentences. Well every one knows the story of Ebenezer Scrooge by now. In the first part of the book you despise the man, in the middle part you learn about his past life and start to feel sorry for him, and in the last part you like him very much! And what about Bob Cratchit and his family and Tiny Tim? Another very likeable family whose story is set within this book. A happy ending all round! "And so, as Tiny Tim observed God bless us, Every One!"
