The entire Lonesome Dove saga written by Larry McMurtry has to be the best western stories told. Starting with the first book Lonesome Dove, Deadman's Walk,Streets of Laredo and now Comanche Moon. In Comanche Moon the characters younger lives are brought to life,new characters are introduced and again Mr. McMurtry has produced a great book. Read the whole series of Lonesome Dove books they are great.
