Product Description
Jack and Molly Campbell are right where they want to be, enjoying an idyllic life with their four-year-old son Joey, and the close family and friends who live in their small hometown just outside Atlanta. Then the phone call comes from the social worker the Campbells never expected to hear from again. Three states away in Ohio, Joey's biological father has just been released from prison. He is ready to start life over, but not without his son.
A judge's quick decision deals a devastating blow to the Campbell family: Joey must be returned to his biological parents. The day after the ruling, in the silent haze of grief and utter disbelief, they watch their son pick a dandelion and blow the feathery seeds into the wind.
In the days that follow the ruling, Jack Campbell has a desperate and dangerous thought. What if they can devise a way out? Then they could take Joey and simply disappear . . . LIKE DANDELION DUST.

Traveling in the Wrap It Up Bookbox
Chosen from the Wrap It Up Bookbox. I've never read anything from this author so I'm looking forward to it. This book will join Mt. Toobie.
I finished this book today on a flight from Los Angeles to New York. As a flight attendant, I do most of my reading while at work. Luckily, no passengers came to the back galley as I was reading the last few chapters...the tears were flowing! Being a new mom myself, my daughter turns one in 4 days, on December 28th, my heart was breaking for the Campbell family. I honestly had no idea how this book was going to end.
This was my first time reading anything from this author and I actually chose this book from my to-be-read pile as part of Plum-crazy's "Can't decide what to read next?" thread for December. Each month, Plum-crazy picks a theme and BC members chose a book from their to-be-read pile that fits the theme. December was "snow". I thought the idea of dandelions blowing in the wind was similiar to falling snow.
So, thank you to Plum-crazy for helping me chose a book from the intimidating Mt. Toobie pile and thank you to awakeagain for introducing me to a new author. I am reserving this copy to send out as a RABCK.
Merry Christmas!
