Thank so much, Supertalya. I do enjoy a nice bit of magic realism.. and particularly like Latin authors - so this one looks like it will suit me perfectly!
Finally moved this one from 'to be read' to 'read'!
I started off really enjoying this novel but feel it ( or possibly it was me) started to lose steam about half way through the novel. Some great ideas here - and nice characterisations - but I feel like the author wasn't sure what direction she wanted to head in - to the detriment of the overall book.
I'll take this one to meetup to help it continue its journey
