Thank you very much BookCrosser for this book by one of my favourite authors. I am really looking forward to reading this one again, as I am planning on reading the whole series in order. This was very generous of you. I really appreciate it.

Amazon Editorial Review:
Wayward daughters. Missing Husbands. Philandering partners. Curious conmen. If you've got a problem, and no one else can help you, then pay a visit to Precious Ramotswe, Botswana's only - and finest - female private detective. Her methods may not be conventional, and her manner not exactly Miss Marple, but she's got warmth, wit and canny intuition on her side, not to mention Mr J. L. B. Matekoni, the charming proprietor of Tlokweng Road Speedy Motors. And Precious is going to need them all as she sets out on the trail of a missing child, a case that tumbles our heroine into a hotbed of strange situations and more than a little danger ...Delightfully different, THE NO.1 LADIES' DETECTIVE AGENCY offers a captivating glimpse of an unusual world.

What a great book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Who wouldn't love Mma Ramotswe? She is such a character, and what a good detective! She solves all crimes easily! :)) I am going to be lending this book out to a group of friends who are not yet members of bookcrossing.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I am now lending this book to my good friend Pam. I am not sure if Pam will leave a journal entry here to say she has the book. She might even decide to join bookcrossing. Who knows? Whatever happens I hope that she will enjoy the book as much as I did. I will be getting this book back afterwards so that I can lend it out to someone else who really wants to read it.

Thanks to the 'leaver' of this book I am back in reading after 9yrs of not being able to get
into books after being an avid reader. This book is an easy read, you can pick it up and
get back into it so easily and fun to read.
Thanks Book Crossing.
Pam.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I just braved a wind storm to walk to the local postoffice to get this book posted to dutch-book. Yes, the weather today is absolutely awful with strong, whistling winds, bending and swaying trees, and leaves blowing into your face!! I opened the front door of our house to see a big pile of leaves on the doormat. When I stepped outside my foot disappeared into them! Here's a pic of the leaves, taken of my view of them as I opened the front door.

Anyway this book is at long last on its way to you dutch-book. Did I ever tell you that I sometimes enclose things in books? I have found a few websites online and lots of notes about the things people have found inside books. So sometimes I put something inside myself to travel with the book. I have enclosed my train ticket from August 2010 when I travelled by train and ferry, with my daughter, to England! Let's see how far it travels in the future!

I hope you will like this book as much as I did! I like the story, and the author's style of writing, and his humour, so much that I bought a copy of this book for myself to go into my permanent collection.
ENJOY!
Footnote:
I also enclosed a card sent to me by JulesPaige to be signed by you and then sent on to another BookCrosser. (Apparently inspired by my Message in a Bottle notes in the forum!) I hope that's ok by you to continue this chain message. I ended up receiving THREE of them, but I have only sent you ONE!

The book arrived in the mal yesterday. I've heard so much about it. I love the cover, I feel it must represent the book very well. The chain letter will continue it's travels. I'll make sure this book will continue it's journey to someone who really wants to read the book (RABCK.) And I'll leave the train ticket in the book so that too can make further travels.

Finally read this book, but I would recommend to people to read it in one go, because I'll bet that would the experience even better. I did enjoy it now though, but I wish I had read it in one go.

Thank you for passing this book on to me, dutch-book. I know my wishlist states "Any books by Alexander McCall Smith" (note to self: I really need to update that!!) but unfortunately I have already read this one. It is one of just two of his many books that I have actually read, but don't worry - I'll be looking for a good home to pass it on to!

And you are right, it wasn't a Christmas surprise any more but so what? It is always nice to receive surprises in the post, don't you think?
