Journal Entry 1 by Free-Spirit2000 from Edinburgh, Scotland United Kingdom on Thursday, November 5, 2009
At times this was hard to keep up with as there is very little revealed but I am told that it is worth sticking with as the next books in the series do get better.

Journal Entry 6 by earthcaroleanne from Tampere, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland on Saturday, April 3, 2010
I picked this up at last month's meetup but I couldn't find the BCID number so took it back this month to find out who brought it. Fortunately someone else managed to find the number. I'm going to write it nearer the front, if you don't mind.

This isn't my usual choice of genre but I decided to read all Stephen King's books in date order. This jumped up the pile quicker after I saw the film and loved it, surprisingly. Unfortunately the book bears little resemblance and it seems the film is a mixture of the whole series. Not a great deal happened in this book and I think that shows if it takes a whole series to make one film. Unlike Free-spirit, I'm not going to persevere with the rest of the series.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Putting in the Bookring with an occupation in the title.
Just in case you think being a Gunslinger isn't an occupation (and I suppose it isn't any more but it once was), I've looked up the definition.
"The gunslinger/gunfighter could be a lawman, outlaw, cowboy, or shooting exhibitionist, but was more commonly a hired gun who made a living with his weapons in the Old West."

Received when the Occupational bookring came home.
House move means many books have to go so this is going to be released soon.
This is going in the Light and Dark book ring.
Received as part of the Light and Dark bookring.
This book has had an adventurous life so far... and even though I am a die-hard Stephen King's fan (I read "Carrie" when first published), I think I will let this one continue travelling... :)

This book continues its way to Winterbirth, as part of the Dark or Light Bookring.
Taken from the Light/Dark bookring. Looking forward to the read 😊
Oh I struggled with this. I did enjoy the preamble where Stephen King discusses his journey into writing something as seminal as Lord of the Rings...this just didn’t hit the mark for me. The gunslinger was just gloomy- and the dreamlike quality just dragged a bit. Perhaps the film might interest more..
