Got this from Lara today at morning tea, thanks Brazen for sharing it with us!

I am reading this at the moment and having the weirdest experience with it.
Lots of those little coincidental things like 2 pages of the book being about an episode of Doctor who that is one of the kids favourites that they watch regularly, a guy in the book listening to one of my fav bands, a obscure band that most people don't know of.

Lots of other weird little things too but harder to put into words.
I'm the one who underlined bits of the book and wrote in the margins, I had to, it was just such an odd experience reading this book. I was going to keep it (so decided I could write in it) but decided it should be shared.

I kind of guessed the ending but it wasn't the ending that made the book, it was the journey.

I thought I had journalled about this book, but I can't remember where now? I know DL and I were talking about it somewhere.

Wow - I did enjoy this thanks Wombles - although I found it a little freaky - especially the end!

Much darker than 'The Time Traveller's Wife', but equally good!!

I have been so tempted by this book in the shops since it first came out then when Discoverylover said she'd been lucky enough to score a BC copy I was happy to wait.
Finally managed to catch up with her. Because this current job has her away from here more often that she is here we don't get together often. When I heard that she would be in town this week I arranged to meet partly because I've not seen her for ages but also to get my hands on this book. We met over dinner at Wagamama last night and not only did she have this book but another one as a bonus so I was delighted, well fed as well!
Hope you are AOK.

What an amazing story. Suspension of belief is required to really enjoy this journey. Not sure if 'enjoy' is quite the right word. It was certainly compulsive reading that has seriously hampered my packing for an o/seas trip tomorrow.
Apart from Jessica and James were there any characters who could be described as normal? Somehow I doubt it.
Highgate Cemetery sounds a very interesting place that I might be tempted to visit next month. Doubtless other readers have felt the same.
Niffenegger's characterisation is excellent. Even if not actually drawn to like them they do become real people, real and quirky mostly.
When I've read a BC book I like to check to see what other readers of pther copies have thought about it but alas, that facility does not seem usable in the new BC format. Hope that that will improve because it is really interesting - there is generally a wide range of opinions about every book.
Wombles, I was glad to learn who'd made the pencil marks, and why. Thanks.
Very glad that my curiosity is salved and the book was certainly worth waiting for. Once I return home I'll check out Wish Lists and see who is wishing for this book - that is if that facility is working again.

Alas & Alack,
I've just been contacted by a BXer who would like this book, still shown as Available, but I have no trace of it in my rather cluttered and muddled house. Can only guess that I've eithre sent it off to someone who had it on their wish list, or taken it to one of the Wellington Bookcrossers meetings without journalling it and whoever decided it was for them had also not journalled it. It is large enough that it would show up on any of the piles around here waiting to be released, posted or saved for someone in particular. I'll mention it in my next circular note to our group and something may come out of that.

Fortunately I have a book that has been on the wish list of the person who asked for this so hopefully that will be satisfactory. Meanwhile I'll show the book as travelling because I guess it must be.

Hi Sherlockfan, well I seem to have this book and neglected to journal it! I'm sure I've had it at least a year. I guess you must have released it to some Bookcrossers and it's made its way to Australia to one of the Sydney meetups. I was going to release it today but will wait in case you would like me to send it on to the BXer you mentioned it January.

I loved Time Traveler's Wife and picked it up hoping for another great read. It's not quite up to that standard but I still thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful writing, the twists, the settings, the well written characters and the ending.
