Outliers: The Story of Success

This book presented an interesting viewpoint regarding success. On the surface, I believe it would be easy to attribute success to the luck of the draw (or the year you were born), but on second glance, it really is all about recognizing and seizing opportunity and hard work (those 10,000 hours!). As for me, I'd love to move like to a community like Roseto! :)
I was speaking with my daughters grade school principal about achievement and questioning why my daughter was no longer in the advanced language arts program and how that related to her education. The book added a different perspective to my concerns and I think will allow me to relax a little with the" I can control everything" mind set.
