This is a fantastic story about control-freak Elizabeth. Although everything in her life has it's place, she has to fight to keep control of her sister Saorise and her son, Luke. But Luke has started acting strangely, playing with an imaginary friend called Ivan. Only, as Elizabeth struggles to keep her life together, she finds that Ivan is becoming as much a part of her life as he is in Lukes.
This is just so beautifully written. I enjoyed it a lot and love the journey that Elizabeth has to go to in discovering her lost past. Ivan is such a great character and brings such fun to the tale that you find yourself laughing out loud. Definately one that everyone should read.

Thank you for the book, somebody else also sent me this so I'm going to lend this copy to my sister. She has said she will journal it when she's done! I love Toffiee's! I shared them yesterday with my boyfriend which was hard because once you have one you really want to finish the whole box! Thank you also for the tea!
*edit* - My review: This really is a fairy tale for grown ups. I loved it. Brings back so many childhood memory's of my imaginary friends, even tho mine were all talking animals and not people. It makes me sad to think of how my imagination must had faded over the years.
It's not as tear-jerking as p.s I love you though it does make your eyes well up at times. I think it has some really sweet moments and it's nice to see the relationship between Elizabeth and Luke grow. I also enjoyed Ivan's little rant about the Borrowers, very funny :)

I loved this, having loved PS I love you though, Im not surprised she has made another heart felt book. There were bits that were quite similar to PS I love you, but the best bit about it was that it was a touching adult fairy tale - yes very candy floss for the brain, but I still couldn't put it down. Heartbreaking at times, but overall a brilliant book!!

Only just got round to reading this, but it was the perfect choice yesterday - lightweight enough after a down day of being 32 weeks pregnant, but honest and full of emotion. loved it, will work out whereto leave it soon!
