Wat a nice surprise, mail from the UK, with a book in it, matching my challenge! I've never read anything from this female writer before so this book is a surprise for me in more then one way! Thanks Marsala for this great RABCK!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

This book travels to the south of the Netherlands where a bookcrossfriend of mine will help it on it's travel further on into the world...

Caught ... I'm CC's bookcrossfriend. I don't know if that makes me happier, or if the book itself does ? I already 'own' a copy, but this is like the perfect book to exchange in the mad march exchange. Its title starts with an 'M' and I'm almost sure the receiver 'll like it.
This 'll travel back to the UK soon :-)))

Short mental note. Did you mean, my dear CC by ‘south of the Netherlands’, to indicate that it passed by Smitjes in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, or are we , small Belgians / Flemish people being colonized into ‘the United Netherlands’ once again ? ;))))
To boldly go where only the Spanish, the Austrians, the German, the French, the English , the … have went before LOOOOOOL.
Just joking.
Anyway, now of to Britannia-ruler-of-the-waves for Jules5, because I took part in Foxyfiona’s exchange ‘Mad March’.
Mad as a hat, Mad as ... in ... MMMMMMMMM Mercy.

My all-time favourite band, by the way are ‘the sisters of MERCY’, and they’re English, how could I not love this book … there is a serendipitious touch to this :-)

I found this quite difficult to get in to. The language was quite 'Woman's Own' magazine style (which I'm not having a go about, just I wasn't expecting it from this author) and I began to lose interest in it. I persevered and the story picked up, although the characters remained flat. This emphasis on the clans became tiresome; some elements of the plot, particularly the hold-up, were a bit stretched and I really lost all empathy with the characters. The subject matter is a very emotive one but I wasn't convinced of the verdict delivered on Jamie. Not one of the best Picoult novels I've come across.
Thanks though for the opportunity to read it:)
