I enjoyed getting an intimate glimpse into someone's life, but I also found the protagonist curiously disengaged from the larger social context. She seems to live in a bubble that only includes people wealthier than herself. But this is New York! Releasing at Cambridge Bookcrosser's meeting.

I thought this book was an interesting read, though I can't say I enjoyed it entirely. I learned a bit about past society and about this woman whom this book is about.
