The second book in the Mayfair witch trilogy

I think I prefer this book to the Witching Hour as it seems to close the questions all quite nicely.

*SPOILERS*

I can definately see parallels of Lestat with Julien. I love Julien's character even though he's a but twisted and I did kinda feel sorry for him. Lasher on the other hand confuses me. I don't really understand what the Talamasca is wanting to do with the Taltos and nor why the Taltos are so exciting. The other thing is towards the end the babies Lasher is producing seem to appear immeadiately whereas with Rowan I'm sure it seemed to be over a period of at least a week. Maybe I'm missing something there.

Overall though this book is very well written especially the stories of Julien and Lasher. I like the way that Lasher was the son of Anne Bolyen and that's why she was executed, I think that fits nicely with her story even though it's a blend of fact and fiction.

Reserved for an Anne Rice book spiral.
