Received this BookRelay book in the mail. I work in a book store and I think we have more Nora Roberts than any other author, but I've never read her yet.

Looks very interesting. Will be going in my TBR pile for now.

Once I got a further look at this book I decided that I didn't want to read it--I'd just let Nora Roberts be one author I had never read and couldn't imagine myself ever reading.

Then gnissorckoob put this challenge in the Release Challenges forum:

I DARE YOU; A Read-and-Release Challenge with a Twist,

Sooo...here’s what you do:

1. Select a book that you would be verrry unlikely to read for whatever reason. If you dislike cat books, then a cat book; if you are too cool to read romances, then a Harlequin – or whatever.

2. Read it. Journal it.

3. Wild release it in a place that somehow reflects your thoughts on the book after reading.

*****Keep us posted here in this thread of your progress on this one
.

and while looking around at my stacks of books, I realized that Carolina Moon would fit the bill quite nicely, so I can now report in that I've taken the challenge through the I DARE YOU; A Read section, now I have to put a review in the journal and do the and-Release Challenge with a Twist portion .

I've heard so much about Nora Roberts--I think we sell more of her books, both new and used, than any other author in the bookstore where I work.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I found this to be a sort of ordinary romance book, a bit too melodramatic for me in parts, with a hero, Cade, who thought a bit too much of himself--simply couldn't imagine that anyone, let alone Tory, could be uninterested in him.

Well, I guess if you're "into" romance, he could have been a fine romantic hero, but I'm not, and he wasn't romantic at all to me, just pushy.

I'm supposed to release this book somewhere that relates to what I thought of the book and I've been having a hard time deciding where that should be. But I guess the part of the book that I enjoyed the most were the descriptions of the store that Tory opened and the lovely things that she sold there, so I plan to release this book at another lovely gift shop in the area.

This book is also being released as part of the BC CONVENTION/ANNIVERSARY CHALLENGE.
