The book was made available, along with several others, at a very successful meet-up held at the Cittie of Yorke pub in Holborn, London. Even a month later, I still have not found time to read it!

Yes!! I've read it, and remembered why science fiction is not my favourite genre. I kept feeling I was missing out on various references, although I do remember listening to it on the radio when it was originally broadcast in the late 1970s?

I have to conclude it is wasted on me, but loved by many millions of people.

I would say Mr Adams has to be congratulated on his run-away imagination. It must be one of the most fantastic science fiction stories I've read so far, and full of things that make you laugh! I'm set on getting my paws on the sequence volumes. Great fun!!!
