Journal Entry 1 by toshokanin from Dresden, Sachsen Germany on Monday, August 3, 2009
At the heart of the ruined city of Arcopolis is the Fortress. It's a brutal structure placed here by one of the sides in a devastating intergalactic war that's long ended. Fifteen years ago, the entire population of the planet was killed in an instant by the weapon housed deep in the heart of the Fortress. Now only the ghosts remain. When The Doctor arrives, determined to fight his way past the Fortress's automatic defenses and put the weapon beyond use, he soon discovers he's not the only person in Arcopolis! What is the true nature of the weapon? Is the planet really haunted? Who are the Eyeless? And what will happen if they get to the weapon before the Doctor?

This is Part XII of toshokanin’s Doctor-Who-BookSpiral.

That was a really glooomy story, but it gripped me from the very beginning. Quite philosophical, too.

I gotta admit, I was a bit absent-minded while reading it due to the current pollution with hazelnut-pollen... but well - I didn't really get it. Too many twists and turns, too alien aliens. I was totally confused in the end and atually didn't want to read it again to try to understand.
But, although I prefer the cheery stories I actually liked the rather gloomy feeling somehow.

It took the TARDIS a bit to reach this destination, but it found a tea shop along the route. Thanks for sending this box and this nice surprise.
