I really enjoy Mary Wesley's writing and since enjoying a BBC dramatisation of her book "The Camomile Lawn" I've read most of her books. I love her quirky black humour. This is one I haven't read as yet. Once I read it I will be thinking of wild releasing it.

This is Mary Wesley's first novel and it didn't disappointment me. It took a few pages to really feel comfortable with the characters but then I settled right in.
Mary Wesley takes (what could be) some of the most distressing of circumstances and treats them so matter-of-factly she turns those circumstances into some of the best British Black humour I've ever had the pleasure to read.
