Massively overrated, and obviosuly I'm disappointed with that. He starts on an interesting vein, bashing Bush. Now we all love bashing Bush (no smut please) so that was fun. Then I suppose you have to be living in America to understand fully the next few chapters, but they were interesting enough. Then he touched briefly on the single most important issue to the USA at the moment, and one that's pretty vital to world peace; the Israeli problem. He made fleeting suggestions of non-violent protest in an open letter to Arafat - great, good stuff. However, he failed to mention the link between this problem and the terrorism that the USA feels it is under the threat of all the time. The single most important recognistion that any US government will ever make is that this link exists, and his suggestions of cutting the $3billion aid to Israel will NEVER happen until the American PEOPLE understand this link. Does he not understand? Did he choose to ignore it? I finished the book waiting for this understanding, and it never came.

And so it is for his falure to mention this link that I can't rate this book higher than a 1. If he wants to write comedy, he should stick with Bush bashing.

Hugely disappointing. I loved Michael Moore's TV Nation and enjoyed Fahrenheit 9/11 in parts, but this is just lame. Sure, there are interesting nuggets in the places - particularly the Bush-baiting - but the bloke's politics are at best naive in places. After a while I found myself bracketing Moore with the stupid white men he's satirising - I get the feeling he'd get a kick out of that, because years of being the self-styled scourge of the American right have clearly gone to his head. The best bit? Useful pub ammo on Dubya (I didn't know he'd been arrested three times. The worst? Moore's unexpected face-to-face encounter with Dubya's brother Jeb, from which he emerges looking like a paper tiger (Moore, that is, not Bush). You'll get through it quickly, but you'll be glad when it's over.
