Given to me by my sis for co-hosting niece's second Birthday party.

What a fun book! It's a fast paced page turner with illustrations! I admit that for me it takes a little while before I can get in the groove and understand the language of Austen's books. I had no problem with this one. If you thought Elizabeth was fiesty in the original, she is a kick-butt girl warrior who uses her katana sword with grace and finesse. She however, would have never discovered that Darcy would be the great love of her life had she cut his throat for stating that she was "merely tolerable" when they first met at the ball. Luckily, a group of zombies (unmentionables)distracted her from doing so. I do wish it was explained how England came to be plagued by the zombies. It also has to be noted that the fates of some of the other characters were changed from the original.

It has inspired me to go back and read the original!
