Plot makes you want to finish the book, but beyond that there isn't much to say for the writing or the characters. A little too sly or slick. At the end it just doesn't mean much of anything, despite its heavy subject matter. It just feels like it should be more than what it ultimately is. In the author's next book she needs to realize that maybe there just aren't any answers that really make sense.
