Read this as part of a booktalk monthly read. Although people found this book irritating we did just keep coming back to certain aspects of the book. Perhaps it was at times annally accurate, who was the first one to pick up on the head of the house's promisicuous nature and obviously most important - who did actually do it?
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
My copy actually went out as a copy for one of the other readers - I had a library copy. I may or may not get it back - not worried either way.

Picked up at the Chelmsford BC meet, great as its on my wishlist.
Starting this today, sorry for having kept it for so long, hoping to tackle as many of my BC books as I can this year. Once read it will be wild released.
Finished this today. I really enjoyed the pace of the beginning of the book, I was intrigued by the murder, the family situation and relationship. However, I soon found all of the details which were off topic annoying, I didn't need to know what was happening in the serialization of The Woman in White or what Charles Sickens thought. Kate Summersdale clearly did her research but didn't filter out what we needed to know and what we didn't. I'm travelling up North to.morrow so will leave it somewhere up there, hopefully on the bc shelf at Keele University.
