Picked this up at the Book Thing in Baltimore, MD several months ago.
Okay, so I'm not a huge fan of the author- I think his plots are rather uninspired and nothing special. There are always a few elements in his books that I enjoy (Digital Fortress- the computer codes, The DaVinci Code- the art) and here I liked the religious myths/symbols.
It was neat seeing Robert in another story, even though the story wasn't as exciting as I'd hoped it would be. Possibly it's due to the fact that this is abridged. *shrug* It was an interesting concept and I liked the details a lot, especially since recently we got a new pope and I can remember the ceremony and rules associated with that event. I'm not a Christian (none of the religious aspects offended me) but I liked the "setting" of the book in the world of Catholicism. I wasn't ever especially worried about the main characters or outcome, but it was enjoyable enough to listen to.

KateKintail handed this to me yesterday. I had been looking for a free/cheap copy of this book since hubby (GroverMOWB) asked me for it a month or so ago. With the recent hype of the movie he wanted to give the book a try.
There is no telling when or if he will get to it and I will most likely have to log into his bookshelf and journal it myself but I will wait a week or so and give him the opportunity to do so himself after he returns from a trip.

My wife got this book for me from a Bookcrossing friend. I am really interested in reading it. Hopefully, I find the time and get the book done before I see the movie. The Da Vinci Code was good, I'm hoping this one is too.
