This is a fun, light-hearted fantasy novel - the first in a series of three. The Crystal Shard is a fast paced book with many interesting ideas a great premise. A definite must-read for fans of fantasy - especially those who have read the Dragonlance Chronicles and are looking for something else along those lines.
