I didn't like this book quite as much as "Sister of my Heart" and "Mistress of Spices", I guess because I felt like telling some of the chatacters in the book to get their acts together, and quit screwing up their lives. It is inevitable that Sudha and her brother-in-law Sunil become entangled until Sunil and his wife Anju, Sudha's cousin, split up and everyone goes their separate ways. Read the author's other books to experience more of her lyrical writing with more magic.

Gave this book to friend Sandy to read after her 5 month journey to India and environs. Hope she enjoys the book and passes it on.
