Unlike many I know, I've not hopped on the Sophie Kinsella bandwagon. I have not been even able to successfully start a Shopaholic book, let alone finish one. This book was left by a patron at the one of the local spots that has a BookCrossing bookshelf, so I too it home to register it and then set it free to wander the world as a BookCrossing book. But I read the flyleaf, and thought it an interesting idea for a plot, so gave it a go.

Not bad for the genre. And considering I really am doing best with all the stuff going on in my life right now (what with sick mother and granddaughter, tests and treatments and decisions and appointments galore for both), it was just the sort of easy read I needed. Not brainless or unrealistic (except for maybe Mont blanc -- ruined the pens for me.)

Will pass on to a friend who I think will enjoy it.

Asked Rebekkila to release this for me at our monthly meetup on May 17th. I imagine some deal will be struck by harper415sc and brownwhitetan and geecheegirl as to who gets to read it first. :)

Bookczuk will not be attending the next meet-up so she sent this with me to take Sunday. I read this book a year ago. I don't find the Kinsella books stimulating, but they are good to read before bed - no nightmares...except maybe Mont Blanc.
