Synopsis
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Nicholas Sparks comes a love story that explores the deepest mysteries of all-those of the heart.
As a science journalist with a regular column in Scientific American, Jeremy Marsh specializes in debunking the supernatural and has a real nose for the strange and unusual. A born skeptic, he travels to the small town of Boone Creek, North Carolina, determined to find the real cause behind the ghostly apparitions that appear in the town cemetery. What he doesn't plan on, however, is meeting and falling hopelessly in love with Lexie Darnell, granddaughter of the town psychic. Now, if the young lovers are to have any kind of future at all, Jeremy must make a difficult choice: return to the life he knows, or do something he could never do before-take a giant leap of faith.
A story about taking chances and following your heart, TRUE BELIEVER will make you, too, believe in the miracle of love.

I have started reading this book. It wasn't my primary read but it is now.
I read the sequel to this book earlier.
1/17/12: I need to buckle down and finish this book. I'm a little over half way through the book. I remember being sucked into First Sight quickly but am not getting into this book as easily.
1/18/12: Isn't it always the way. As soon as I decide I have to buckle down and finish a book, things get even more hectic. I had an extra long work day and so only managed about 1/2 a chapter.

I finished this book a few minutes ago.
It is a good and interesting read. I haven't read a Nicholas Sparks book in a long time. Sparks does a great job of making the reader care about the characters in his books.

On its way to Jonniboi in the UK
just received this book, don't know how long it will take me to get around to it, all my bookrings/rays have come at once, but I'm getting on top of things!
hi, thought I'd just mention I have started this book, I have recently been focusing on my revision for my exams, I only have one important exam to go, and then I'm finished and done!
I'm a bit dubious of this book at the moment, finding it difficult to get into, but shall persevere and see where the story takes me :)

Completed it! As of last night I was 100 pages away from finishing, so I pushed myself to finish it, and that is exactly what I did, and it didn't take as long as I thought it would.
I loved this story, I want to be a journalist when I'm older, going to do a journalism degree at university this september (If I get the grades to get in, but I'm optimistic), and this was a great insight, I marvelled at the diaries, I could read them forever and ever! :) However I don't think I'd fare well being an investigative journalist, although it does interest me a lot, but I wouldn't know where to start, and probably get bored.
As for this book it's very different to the other Nicholas Sparks books I've read, however between the lines it was quite obvious and I knew what was going to happen. I liked Jeremy a lot and I felt that he represented me in a lot of ways, but I loved Doris oh so more! And near the end I almost felt teary because of her (stopping myself from revealing a spoiler).
ANYWAY, I shall contact NMReader now to see if there's anyone after me, if not, then I'm not sure what to do with it next, might send out as an RABCK

I'm done with the acknowledgements, and starting on chapter One. Sparks is one of my fave authors, though not many of his books I have read. Hope this will start me reading more. Thanks in sending to me, Jonniboi.
I like all the characters in the book, took my time with the last chapter, and now ready to read its sequel. Didn't know the other title on my shelf happens to be the sequel, which is good I can continue without break. I have enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing.
