Dear Reader
Welcome to Bookcrossing if it is your first time here. I am really pleased that you found this book. It is a gift from me to you. If you wish you may hold on to it but I hope that you will pass it on, either to a friend or loved one, or by leaving it to be found again. That way our book will be on an adventurous journey which we can follow as it gets passed along.
In the meantime, did you read the book? What did you think of it? Also, what do you think of the idea of bookcrossing? Feel free to write your thoughts when you come back to make a release note for this book.
While you are here, why not take a look around our website? Everything is explained on the home page. It is completely free to register and I would be delighted if you wish to mention me, shelj7k, as the member who introduced you.
All best wishes

After the tragic sinking of a cargo ship, one solitary lifeboat remains bobbing on the wild, blue Pacific. The only survivors from the wreck are a sixteen-year-old boy named Pi, a hyena, a zebra (with a broken leg), a female orang-utan... and a 450-pound Royal Bengal tiger.
The scene is set for one of the most extraordinary works of fiction in recent years.

Thanks ever so much, Shel! This was a wishlist book :)
I tried my very best but just couldn't finish this book. I reached part 2 and even enjoyed some chapters of the book (like the ones where Pi comes to know Christianity and Islam), but was daunted by how many pages I still had left - it felt like too much of a struggle... As I have a huge TBR pile with lots of books that I really really want to read, I decided to let this one go unfinished (although I hate to do that!), as I have a designated reader waiting for this book. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to try this one out though, shelj7k!
Thank you for send me the book and sorry for not journaling it promptly.
