Great book - plan to re-read and then release to free up shelf space.

Re-reading this now and planning to dispatch in a controlled release v soon - its a great book but i need the shelf space after leaving Borders with another 8 books today.

This is a great read and gives a real indepth look at Songlines in laymans terms. I love Chatwins stuff, his writing is brilliant and he describes things in unusual ways. His love of travel and archaeology and anthropology really shine through. The only negative point to this books is the fair few pages dedicated to short quotes from his moleskine journals detailing previous travels and observations. lots of the observations are interesting but overall this section goes on too long and spoils the continuity of the narrative.
