The Vendetta Defense

I picked this book up specifically for the Mystery Bookbox.
I read this book when it first came out and I enjoyed it. I do not remember all of the details of the story, but I remember that I liked the legal thriller/mystery, and I generally enjoy Scottline's other works as well. I also remember I read it in one day--I could not put it down!

Taken from the Mystery Book Box 2 (MBB2). Thanks. TBR pile.
I enjoyed this one, as I do all of this series.
This one features lawyer Judy Carrier who takes on a case without first consulting her boss, Bennie Rosato. Anthony Lucia, known as Pidgeon Tony, is arrested for the murder of his life-long enemy Angelo Coluzzi who killed Tony's wife back in Italy because she married Tony instead of him. Tony also suspects he killed his son and daughter-in-law. Hence, Judy, who was initially bothered by Tony admitting killing Angelo, comes up with the vendetta defense.
Judy is a likeable, no-nonsense style lawyer with ethics. The characters are interesting and snappy dialogue move the story along. Read it pretty quickly.

I just received this in the mail. I'm really looking forward to reading it, as I loved Dead Ringer.
This was really good. I definitely want to get the other books in this series. This is going to kbgoffe as a book relay. I'll probably mail it out early this week.
