One of the 42 books I bought today for 13 euros (about $13.00....) at a local book market. I'd like to read it before releasing it, so it will probably be quite a while. My TBR pile is out of control.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this a fairly intelligently written mystery.
Some turns of phrase I liked: "petrol-marbled puddles" (p. 8), "louring cloud base" (193), and "...polluted mizzle." I actually had to look up "louring" and "mizzle." I just love books that teach me new words.
