"No 2 lady detective" definitely matches Isabel. I can see why my inlaws love the series, and I can see myself hooked in these too... I really like McCall Smiths, and as there are SO many fans out there, this book should not be staying in a bookshelf idle - so will set up as a ring soon.

Finally got around to reading this one and it's a fun, quick read. Figured it would be a nice holiday read, so releasing it in Stone Cutter's Cottage where the next person having their holidays here might find it.
