Great idea for a collection! Six novellas all written around the idea of hardboiled detective fiction; but, of course, with a bit of a twist ... they are all ALSO Sci-fi stories. Nice. David Gerrold and Jack McDevitt are authors I've read before and enjoyed. And I have no doubt the other four entries will be just as good. But, at approx 70 pages per novella, the risk is pretty low ;-) I'll take my chances and read them all.
