Journal Entry 2 by Tubereader from Lenningen / Lenneng, Kanton Remich Luxembourg on Monday, April 20, 2009
I finished reading this book at the end of last week but didn't have time to journal it till now.
I must say I probably have a more positive view than some of the previous readers (see www.bookcrossing.com/journal/6171909), but I cannot say either that I loved the book. I liked the way it was written but the story has a much too negative ending for my liking (true that real life does not always have happy endings but I kind of expected this story would end up in a slightly more positive note...).
Thanks katrinat for sharing! (and sorry for having lost the original copy!).
I have PMed frangelle twice for their address, given that some people were on holidays last week, I will try again this week and, otherwise, will contact the next in line.

Not sure about Ms Wintersons writing. I'm always left sightly dissatisfied. It was worth reading though.

Arrived today - Thanks all for sharing.
This is the first book I have read by this author so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I liked the style, particularly the Venice scenes and the way the characters stories intertwined. I have signed up for freepages' 'Sexing the Cherry' ring so it will be interesting to see how it compares.
I have an address for tootshelling so will pop this book in the post tomorrow (Mon).

So sorry! This arrived just before I left for holiday and I forgot to journal it.
BTW - I got the PM message too, thanks for checking up on it!
Will post again as soon as I'm done!
